Where there's a Paragon truck, there's an e-mail from Dean

Our original GC, Paragon, was fired after the Project Manager (Dean) finalized our estimate and his numbers came in over budget. During this time State Farm kicked us out of the Premier Service Provider program (which they had pushed us to participate in from the get go), cut us a check and sent us on our way.

Somehow, this was a blessing in disguise, as we have now hired Tim and Faith's neighbor, Dennis, to be our new GC/PM. He's awesome! After bringing Dennis up to date on all the work that had already been done (some demo) and the proposed scope of work, he began writing his estimate. That estimate was finished today and Josh (who is calling me right now) took it along with the check from State Farm over to Pulaski Bank. Here's to hoping they have what they need to process everything!

If things go smoothly, Dennis should have his men in there to finish up the demo work by next week. In the meantime, Angela needs to finish the architectural drawings and get those over to the city for approval.

Oh, and the title of this post refers to Josh seeing a Paragon truck on the road today. Neither of us has ever seen a Paragon vehicle, so we knew we'd probably get a call or e-mail from Dean, looking for payment for his services. Sure enough, about an hour after the truck pulled in front of Josh, Dean sent us an e-mail looking for his money!
